How old do you wish you were?
How much experience is enough
How many friends do we need
What was your perfect age
Are you happy to be you
Do you wish to be someone else
Do you wish to start over
Are you where you want to be
Is this the life you expected
Was it better at another age
Can you change to be happier
What are you in love with

The long ride home
We left Florida at five a.m. Car over packed with most of hubbies tools, four shotguns
and most of my clothes and neccesities. Whew...anyway we finally stopped at a Cracker Barrel
for breakfast at seven. By the way, Penny was howling all the while until we allowed her out
of her carrier to roam around the car.
Before we left Florida, hubby got a one hundred and sixty doller ticket for speading, so you
ladies must know how long the ride is now with the added pressure of trying to keep the
speed under seventy.
The first night we stayed in North Carolina at an Econmy Inn. No frills but they do acceept
cats (which we were thrilled about. ) Penny hid under the bed as she had in Florida and hubby
used an ironing board to push her to me so by five we were on the road again. This morning
we had Mc Donalds coffee and egg and muffin and started driving again.
At some point he decided if we kept going we could be home about eight p.m.
wrong...so wrong...even though I did not drive that much I was getting so exhausted.
Could we stop somewhere in New Jersey or New York? No!!! We could be sleeping in our
own bed if we drive a little more. Humm I wondered what our beds and house looked like.
Anyway, we got home and at first thought the place didn't look too bad.
We pulled the blankets and matress pad off the bed. Put a sheet on the matress and took
a couple of throws and two clean pillows out of the linen closet and slept like babies until about
nine a.m. It was awesome.
Then we had to evaluate the house.
1. broken and full of mold coffee pot
2. broken glass in spare room. something disgusting on bed and spread.
3. broken glass in favorite bookcase.
4. liquor cabinet empty.
5. someone had written with magic marker on living room rug.
6. being home priceless
Threw everything out. Bought new mattress pads for both beds, scrubbed down beds
and started all over. Took a small blue rug from spare room to put in living room because it
looked so cold with just the hardwood. Anyway not too bad...considering.
